I’m so glad that there are more and more companies out there that help you with internet-related commerce.  Companies like the asp.net e-commerce solutions are such a big help-you don’t need to have your own personal IT guy on staff just to help you get the word about your company out there.  There are companies that help with search-engine placement, companies that have templates for your webpage, or will even plug you in very cheaply to one of their templates and then they become the webmaster for you, and companies that will help you build an online store.

It used to be that you were left swinging in the wind if you wanted to use the internet for your business… unless you had been a computer major in school or else had a college-age kid who was a computer whiz.  But it’s just so thrilling that everyone can take advantage of this wonderful opportunity that is the ‘net; the playing field is really leveled now.  The only problem is that there are so many net-based companies now that it’s hard for people to sort through all the offerings and just get to yours.  And that’s where I vote for a great big directory like the yellow pages that can help you have all of them democratically listed on one page.
