I Want My Wife Back
By Topper on Aug 22, 2008 in Education
When my wife and I had our first child, I agreed to be a stay at home dad. And really, it’s turned out to be a pretty good deal. After all, she made a lot more money than I was making. After she graduated from college she landed a great job in information technology. That is what she is still doing, and her company not only pays well, but also has great benefits.
So you would think I would have nothing to complain about, right? Recently she started a CISSP training course. I know how important it is to her; and I realize that the CISSP certification is a great big deal in the IT industry. It’s just that anymore if she is not at work she is totally consumed by studying for the exam. Instead of spending any time with us, she is doing some kind of CISSP self study. She literally gets out of bed, gets ready goes to work, comes home and studies then goes to bed.
I am not saying that I am a spurned husband or anything like that. I’m just anxious to have her pass this test so we can get back to our lives. Fortunately that won’t be much longer since she will be testing soon. It’s a great opportunity for her; I’m proud of her!
