September 11^th left an everlasting impression in the hearts and minds of Americans all over the nation.   On that fateful day we lost our innocence and our sense of safety, however, the one thing we never lost, was our faith.

It is this faith that compels many Americans to look into obtaining a Homeland Security Associate degree.

With such a degree, a patriotic citizen of the United States could obtain a job in custom border protection, immigration, the coast guard, FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) or even the secret service — the list goes on and on.

These highly exciting and important jobs can allow a person who loves their country to protect all that is near and dear to them.

An associates degree in Homeland security will prepare that individual and provide him with the tools necessary to keep our nation’s borders safe.  They will also learn what it takes to secure airports and oceanic areas where criminal activity and traffic can occur. 

Albeit a somewhat dangerous career choice, a person would always be able to say they are doing their part to protect America from the scourge that caused September 11^th to happen.

Who knew that an online bachelor degree program could award a person the opportunity to not only serve his fellow man, but his country as well?
